This page is a dedicated area of condolence for Bernhard. Please feel free to pay your respects and post comments as appropriate
Bernhard Goller came from the Stuttgart Academy in September 2007 to join the Fine Art programme for the Autumn semester, undertaking two Fine Art Modules where he continued to develop his 3D artwork. He was based in the Britannia Mill sheds for the majority of the term, and regularly travelled out in his camper-van to collect small found objects from which to construct his pieces.
Bernhard was a very quiet and self-contained individual, although this belied a great passion for his art as a means of self-expression. Through his artistic intuition, and with great consideration, he brought selected objects together to create small works which struck a balance between the quirky and the delicate.
Bernhard's family has very kindly allowed us to retain some of these pieces for the present and we are considering the most appropriate way of displaying these, both as an exhibition of the artwork in its own right, and also as a tribute to him. We are also considering holding some form of memorial in Bernhard's memory, and if you feel you would like to contribute to this in some way, please let us know.
We will continue to add to this page on an ongoing basis. Inform us if you would like to make any contributions, or post your condolences and any other messages as appropriate below.
